Михаил Федорович

The Russian Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich (1596-1645), the first in the Romanov dynasty, ruled the country for over 30 years. His reign was influenced by the dramatic circumstances of his enthronement at the age of 15 in a Russia ruined by the long Times of Troubles. Most of his time as Tsar was spent restoring peace in Russia, forming the government structure, and taking control over Russia’s borders and economy. Bibliographical references.
