Boris Raushenbakh (b. 1915), an academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, is not only one of the founders of Russian cosmonautics; he is also a philosopher and historian of art, the author of several books about perspective in painting. This work first published in 1994 summarizes his many years of study in prospective and non-prospective ways of representing space. This edition, unlike the previous one, has numerous black-and-white illustrations. Bibliography.
