Морозов. Судебный процесс социалистов-революционеров

The Trial of the Socialist-Revolutionaries (EsEr’s) was an unprecedented legal proceeding not only in Russian jurisprudence but in the entire world. But the main unique feature of this process was that each of the two sides presented themselves as the real revolutionaries and the other side as traitors to the revolution and to the working people it was made for. Based on documents of several archives in Russia and abroad this monograph restores many unknown details, including intelligence information collected by the GPU for this trial, measures of guarding the prisoners and their resistance in prison. The author analyzes this trial not only in a legal frame of reference, but also from the perspective of revolutionary ethics and the repressive tactics of the Bolsheviks against other Socialists. The last chapter describes the fates and portraits of accused EsErs and the paradox of their rehabilitation in 1997-2001.
