Vatslav Nizhinskii (1889-1950) danced all together for about ten years on the stage of the Mariinskii ballet and later in Diagilev's ballet, but his fame has lasted for the entire century. During the second half of his life Nizhinskii was mentally ill, but kept his diary. This is the first unabridged publication in Russian of his famous note-books.
