Betty L. Stoelting was born in South Dakota on February 18, 1928. She moved with her family to Iowa about 1935, where she attended high school until graduation. She went to college and received her masters degree in elementary education. Betty loves children and taught kindergarten for many years in Marin County California until she retired in Iowa. She loves writing stories for children.
