Class, Power, and Agrarian Change: Land and Labour in Rural West Java

The book examines patterns of class structure, production relations and capitala accumulation in three West Java villages. It explores the hidden assumptions underlying conventional theories of agrarian change and demonstrates the importance of class structure and class power in shaping patterns of change at the village level.
