About the Author

Manuel Alvarado was editor of "Screen Education" from 1975 to 1978, and has published numerous books on the media and education. He is head of education at the British Film Institute.Edward Buscombe worked in the education department of the British Film Institute and is currently head of trade publishing at the British Film Institute. He has taught at several universities in the United States.Richard Collins is Senior Research Associate at Goldsmiths' College, University of London. He was on the editorial board of "Screen Education" and has taught film and media studies in Britain, Australia, and the United States.
