The section on the fast Fourier transform has been expanded, and also includes a description of the two-dimensional FFT. The chapter on implementation has been extensively revised to include a complete microprocessor-based design example (with solution), and details of the TMS320C10 DSP device, with a case study of its application to the companding of speech signals.
