This is the first publication of minutes of the Leningrad Writers’ Organization in the 1940s to the 1960s. It allows the author to reconstruct a history of this organization quite different from official one. The published documents cover the organized defamation of writers O.F. Berggol'ts, B.L. Pasternak, I.A. Brodskii, and A.I. Solzhenitsyn. The materials also show the double-dealing position of leaders of the organization, including A.A. Prokof'ev and D.A. Granin, on many issues, as well as the conformism of the members of the organization. The minutes are provided with comments by the author.
