Collected Papers of Yozo Matsushima

In the past 30 years, differential geometry has undergone an enormous change with the infusion of topology, Lie theory, complex analysis, algebraic geometry, and partial differential equations. The late Matsushima (1921-1983), of Osaka U., played a leading role in this transformation by bringing new techniques of Lie groups and Lie algebras into the study of real and complex manifolds. This collection of Matsushima's papers also includes an outline of his work and its development by Shoshichi Kobayashi, a list of publications, and a list of Ph.D. theses written under Matsushima's supervision.
