This collection celebrates the 60th birthday of Viktor Zhivov (1945), a specialist in Slavic studies and Byzantine culture, professor of University of California (Berkeley). It includes articles of his colleagues in the wide area of his scholarly interests: epigraphy, textology, codicology, historical grammar, and lexicology, history of Russian literature and culture, history of Russian-Byzantine relations. Also included are memoirs about Zhivov and a bibliography of his publications.
