Assisted reproduction or 'in vitro' fertilization (IVF) techniques have been developed and refined over the last thirteen years to provide help for subfertile couples. More recently, micromanipulation techniques have been used successfully to achieve fertilization in patients not helped by normal IVF. This book brings together the most recent advances in micromanipulation techniques from internationally renowned IVF centres and discusses the technical, legal and ethical considerations of work on the human embryo.
