The book presents the foundations of the numerical method of tape adaptive grids in gas dynamic problems developed with the help of the methods of the tensor calculus and differential geometry. Methods for constructing geometrically regular adaptive grids for domains of difference complex shapes, as well as methods for constructing difference schemes of gas dynamics on the basis of adaptive grids. Powered by a significant number of examples of numerical solution of gas dynamics problems with these methods: modeling of unsteady gas dynamic processes in solid rocket motor nozzles and the steady flow of supersonic air intake channels, modeling flow around blunt bodies perfect and viscous flow, and flow with chemical reactions.
