Петербургские старообрядцы в XVIII - первой половине XIX века

This book studies the relations between the Russian Orthodox Church and the state in the 18th – early 19th centuries through the prism of the relations between the Church and Old Believers. The fight against Old Believers was conducted by the Church itself in the 18th century, in the next century the government became the leading force in this fight instead. This replacement is interpreted by the author of this book as the end of independence of the Church from the government. Bibliography.
