This monograph studies the dynamics and typology of the unprecedented confiscation of property by the Bolsheviks government in 1917-1921. The history of confiscation is divided into several section by different types of property. The author discusses this event in the context of the history of ownership and factors and traditions defining the right of ownership and its limits in Russia.
