老子新論

A New Probe into Lao Zi is a revised version of A New Proofreading of Lao Zi published in 1970s by the author referring to studies on Lao Zi in China mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao since 1970s after a widely study of various versions of Lai Zi in different ages and study results in modern times. Besides the proofreading, the author also studies the origin of various versions of Lai Zi, especially the transmission and influence of earlier versions to sort out the complex relations among various versions in earlier days. This book is a summary of the author's research results in the past years. Besids, Collected Essays on Lao Zi, another work of the author is also included in the book as an appendix.
