Engineering Hermodynamics

Discusses certain principles of thermodynamics and describes their usefulness to engineers. It begins with the general principles of work and power with a special focus on compressors and piston engines, then discusses the relation between heat and matter, especially in heating by combustion, and ends with the relation between heat and work for determining and improving efficiency.
