Opening with a general assessment of the economic situation in OECD countries, this edition of the "OECD Economic Outlook" goes on to examine uncertainties about the projected pattern of growth and what can be done to ensure a durable expansion. Another chapter reviews the methods used to estimate potential output and presents estimates of output gaps and structural budget balances. The chapter on international trade surveys some broad, longer-term trends in international trade patterns. Chapters on individual OECD countries (including Mexico) provide forecasts and more detailed information on specific countries.
