Distributed public governance is concerned with protecting the public interest in the increasingly wide variety of government organizational forms, which this report refers to by the names in the subtitle rather than the many and varied terms, many of them quite far from flattering, used in specific places. The nine country reports here were presented to a gathering of specialists from OEDC member countries in April 2001. The preliminary conclusions of the Public Management Committee are also summarized. Annotation ©2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
