Intended as a resource for negotiators, this text makes a case for the environmental and developmental benefits of liberalizing international trade in certain goods designated as environmentally preferable products. It also discusses how certain tariff and non-tariff barriers to trade may be removed. Three groups of products were chosen for case studies: sisal, bicycles, and energy-efficient cooking appliances.
