OECD's annual survey of the New Zealand economy. Part I of the survey examines the main factors underlying the recent recovery and assesses the short-term economic outlook. Part II reviews the macroeconomic policy setting and the structural reforms implemented in recent years. Part III addresses the increased openness of the New Zealand economy and outlines the scope for, and benefits of, further trade liberalisation. Conclusions are presented in Part IV.
