
OECD's annual review of the Danish economy. Part 1 of the survey reviews recent economic developments, highlighting the recovery in activity in the course of 1993. Part II discusses the evolution of monetary and budgetary policies during this period, against the background of currency-market turbulence and the use of fiscal policy to support demand and employment. Recent measures to reduce structural unemployment are also reviewed and discussed. Part III presents short-run projections and discusses risks. Part IV examines the re-orientation of policies towards the business sector in light of past performance and recent policy initiatives. Conclusions are provided in Part V.
