The Basilica of Saint-Denis is a stunning legacy to the Gothic tradition. A colloquium held in Paris in 2000 brought together a group of art historians to discuss the emergence of Gothic art, architectural style, sculpture, stained glass and ecclesiastical furnishings, using Saint-Denis as a case study.
