OECD principles of corporate governance 2004.

These Principles, issued by the OECD in 1999, have established an internationally recognised benchmark for good corporate governance, and have been adopted by the Financial Stability Forum as a key standard for sound finance. This revised version, which has benefited from extensive public consultation, takes into account recent developments and experiences in OECD member and non-member countries. The Principles offer non-binding standards and good practices, as well as guidance on implementation, which can be adapted to the specific circumstances of individual countries and regions.
