茶馆：成都的公共生活和微观世界, 1900-1950

This book is an attempt of new cultural history and micro history in Chinas historical studies. It can not only help us get to know Chengdu from a micro prospective through understanding the social, cultural and political role of teahouses but also contribute a lot to understanding Chinese cities in the 20th century, the city society and the relations in Chinas politics. Studies of micro history can lead us to the inner side of the city.
