Contains 39 papers from the June 1999 workshop on BScklund and Darboux transformations and their applications in the theory of integrable systems. The first section of the volume describes BScklund transformations of PainlevT equations, the dressing method, and the classical geometry of BScklund transformations and their applications to soliton theory. The remaining papers present new developments in the field, such as the Ribaucour congruences of spheres within Lie sphere geometry, transformation of quasilinear systems originating from the projective theory of congruences, superposition formulas based on non-primitive group action, properties of a class of slowly decaying oscillatory solutions of KdV, and classification of symmetry-integrable evolution equations.
