This is the eighteenth volume of the series Odysseus which publishes the most recent Russian studies in ancient, medieval and modern history. Started in 1989. Within the framework of an interdisciplinary project this annual continues a dialog between specialists in social history and the history of art. The main topic of this volume is "Feudalism on Trial by Historians".
