This is the third issue of publications produced by the research project on Neoclassical Esthetics. Postmodernist “rhizome esthetics”, with its chaotic, non-systematic, unstructured, tangled links (as in a map), is generally set against classical “tree esthetics”, which (as in a book) transforms world chaos into an esthetic cosmos. The authors attempt to define the place of postmodernism in the history of esthetics regarding it as a transcultural multi-religious phenomenon with a populist orientation. The present issue contains five Cross-Sections: Discursive-analytic, Meditative, Lexicographic, Preliminary, and Bibliographic. The book also contains a lexicon of names and notions important for post-modernist art. Bibliographic references. V.V. Bychkov and N.B. Man’kovskaia, editors and contributors, are authors of several books on modern art.
