天下为学说裂 : 清末民初的思想革命与文化运动

During the late of Qing dynasty and early of the Republic of China period, China was facing the tremendous changes that had not been seen in three thousand years. In this transition era, intellectuals that cared about the nation, the country and their own destinies, promoted various thinking revolution and cultural activities in response of the Western trend. The author makes delicate observations on students' lives, textbooks, anti-Manchu, etc., trying to interpreting the depth and pain of changes of China during that time period through the life, behavior and feelings of those intellectuals.
