The book is one of representatives of Rao Zongyi which is the systematic arrangement and narration of legitimismone of the important historical reviews in China. The book derives from the comparative history seminar held in 1970s, US which is composed for 5 years. It mainly contains general survey and material. The former part contains 13 chapters, which generally arranges the most influential legitimism of different styles according to time; while the latter contains 3 parts which lists the texts about legitimism in history according to time as well.
