This book was written as an effort to reconstruct a fun part of the Bible through a mathematical view. With a mathematician's eyes, the author was seeking answers to questions that anyone might have had while reading the Bible. It is fun to read this book because it solves the questions embedded in Genesis easily without suggesting a difficult interpretation. This book provides biblical cultural background, specifically myths of the ancient Middle East relating to the stories in the Bible that can hardly be found in general religious books. The strength of this book is that it has plenty of graphs, tables, maps and pictures. While reading this book readers can draw a picture about the countless numbers appearing in Genesis. The author is a statistics professor at State University of New York at Stony Brook.
