The Japanese artist Ando Hiroshige (1797-1858) is considered to be the last of the masters of ukiyo-e ('pictures of the floating world'), and is most famous for his landscapes and his studies of his home city of Edo. This book collects 82 of the prints in Hiroshige's series 100 Famous Views of Edo, which he was working on when he died, and includes an introduction exploring his life and career.
