The soviet system on the territory of the former USSR is broken, but what about the sovietization of the Russian language? One example, D.S.P. (dlia sluzhebnogo pol'zovaniia) is still very often used. What else is left from it? This dictionary is the first attempt to simulate modern Russian discourse on the background of Russian ideological language and in general language of the twentieth century. Key words and expressions are illustrated with samples from media and current writings. This collective linguistic portrait of soviet and post-soviet periods may serve as a guide to this epoch. G. Guseinov (b. 1953), is a professor of classics and philology. Indices of literature quoted and names. Volume two is also available.
