In 1970s, a new subject named thanatology prevails around western countries. Its historical research mainly refers to rites, viewpoints and ways of burial of death in history of different historical background. In addition, it also includes the death in battle and plague. However, Lhommme Devant La Mort by French historian Philippe Aries in 1977 plays a groundbreaking role. The book expresses the evolution history on attitude about death from early years of Medieval to 1970s. The researches of Aries establish a system for utterance interpretation about thanatology.
