Product Description
The book fills the gap between scientific knowledge and product design and development of natural materials. It discusses designing with natural materials in specific areas, including building, automotive, and packaging, and looks to the future of new biobased materials and how these will influence design. It offers insight to designers of new biobased materials across a range of different design disciplines, whilst also offering insight to scientists on the process of production design and the needs of a material beyond those traditionally analyzed in the laboratory. The book discusses bioinspiration and biomimicry and how they can influence future material design and future products.
