This book is consist of a real abundance ""Preface"" and the exquisite illustration parts. In addition to a short text introducing what the new and old collection of the Guqin in the Palace Museum have experienced and the content of illustration part, the ""Preface"" mainly discusses the historical evolution of the guqin, relationship between the Ming and Qing royal family and the Guqin and the various issues on dating of Guqin. In illustration part, apart from Guqin's photos, there are CT images which can provide the reader with a detailed internal and external structure of Guqin. The pictures of its silk strings, packing bag and placing table extends its comfortable environmental atmosphere. The tablature will increase Guqin's historical and cultural atmosphere, making the Guqin more fresh and alive.
