Chinese Prose History is a book to have linked up ancient prose history and modern and contemporary prose history. By making a comprehensive and systematic study of both the ancient and modern prose history, an unprecedented general history of Chinese prose that connects ancient and modern times is formed. It will not only be able to fill a gap in the research field of Chinese prose history, providing the first complete general history book for Chinese prose history in thousands of years, but also able to help us acquire a complete understanding of the changes of Chinas proses through ancient and modern times as well as of the overall appearance of Chinese literature, so as to grasp the development trend of Chinese proses today and in the future.
