This book is compiled from notes of Durkheims lecures by his student André Lalande. Although the book is made for middle school philosophy education, but from these contents we can also get a glimpse into: ideological disputes and reality of French society and the political ideals of this course reflected in the Third Republic. From the perspective of Emile Durkheim study, the book is the key to our study of Durkheim early thought forms, including a series of questions of the origin of the theory, the basic problem and the inherent tension.
