This volume reports on excavations in 1973 and 1981 at Balksbury Camp, an Iron Age plateau enclosure situated on the outskirts of Andover. These revealed site occupation and use from the Late Neolithic/Beaker to the late Roman period. A sequence of Late Bronze to Early iron Age defence construction and modification, subsequently further modified in the Romano-British period, was established. Other features included a Late Neolithic/Beaker burial and a palimpsest of pits, postholes, gullies, and buildings of Early Iron Age to late Roman date. Includes discussion of artefact finds and environmental analysis.
