The current volume covers the history of the management of soviet cinema by the Kremlin and the Central Committee of the CPSU in the Stalin period: 1928-1953. Many general problems of manipulating soviet culture and cinema in particular are shown in the fates of film directors Avdeeenko, Dovzhenko, Eizenshtein, Lukov, etc. 394 documents.
