On a tiny island in the Mediterranean, whose rocks fall steeply and where ships can only moor in calm seas, a lonely lighthouse rises. Like a Cyclop, he searches the nightly horizon with his eye, a fixed and indispensable landmark for generations of sailors. Three long weeks Rumiz, the restless hiker, brings there and searches the sky at night and the horizon like the beam of light. He learns to recognize the advent of a thunderstorm, listen to the wind, fly with the seagulls, talk to the donkey. And he thinks about the Mediterranean as a cultural space from Trieste to Lebanon, as a place of exchange, trade, wars to this day, with its own lingua franca.
