This book is about a story of youth dream encountering cruel reality. The people in the story are like other millions of people, head for Beijing after graduating from college with a dream in their heart, but several years later, they wake up with a start that they never really belong to Beijing. In order not to be abandoned by this city, some people engage in life-and-death struggle against the housing price, some are struggling in the basement, some choose to give up dream and find a stable job, and some choose to give up the dignity in exchange for a car or house. The city is like a bloody mouth, swallowing innumerable youth and dreams and digesting them all away, discharging residues that no one will pity.
