World Premiere will be off-Broadway in the fall of 2015 at the New York City Center Stage, a production of the Manhattan Theatre Club.This production is David Lindsay-Abaire's sixth collaboration with the Manhattan Theatre Club, including his Pulitzer Prize winning play, Rabbit Hole.Original production directed by David Hyde Pierce, the actor made famous for his starring role in the hit television series, Frasier, and featuring Marylouise Burke and Mary Louise Wilson.A satirical comedy from a well-known award-winning playwright set in a rest home for the elderly, this play would do well with theatre students and senior audiences. Lindsay-Abaire's play, Rabbit Hole won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2007. Rabbit Hole was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play and original cast member Cynthia Nixon won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play. Rabbit Hole was adapted into a film starring Nicole Kidman in 2010.His play Good People was a hit on Broadway in 2011, leading to a Tony Award nomination for Best Play and a Tony Award win for Best Leading Actress in a Play (to Frances McDormand). Good People was one of the most-produced plays in the country for a period after the Broadway run.
