About the Author Evald Flisar is the editor of the oldest Slovenian literary journal Sodobnost. Author of 11 novels (eight nominated for the Kresnik Award, the Slovenian “Booker”), Flisar is also a winner of the Prešeren Foundation Prize, the highest state award for prose and drama. In addition to this he has garnered the prestigious Župancic Award for lifetime achievement. His work has been translated into 33 languages.
