Until this volume, the series "Russia. The 20th Century" included only documents. This is the first volume in this series, published by the International Foundation "Democracy" (Aleksandr Iakovlev Foundation) in collaboration with a new publisher Novyi Khronograph, that includes studies of modern Russian political history. The current volume is a collective monograph on the history of the Russian NEP (New Economic Policy of 1921-1929). Among the contributors to this volume are the leading historians on this subject: I.B. Orlov, E.A. Osokina, S. Pavliuchenkov, V. Telitsyn, etc. Name index.
