Product Description A report on subsistence strategies at the site of Hector Trudel in the Saint-Laurent Valley, Québec, between 500 and 1000 BC, known locally as the Middle Sylvicole period. This study looks at the site and the faunal remains within the context of the local ecology and environment. Evidence from the residues of food preparation and consumption as well as the remains of various animal species allows Cossette to speculate on a number of different scenarios of subsistence strategies according to seasonal changes in the availability of resources.
