The book presents a new poetic translation of the famous Old Russian masterpiece, The Song Of Prince Igor’s Campaign, and a commentary. The translation is made both in Russian and in English. The conceptual novelty of the translation is explained in detail in the commentary. The author focuses on the problem of a poet and a ruler in the Song, analyzing decision-making of the characters in terms of their goals, values, strategies and psychology. The novelty of the translation is not only in its style but, first of all, in the non-orthodox interpretation of the main characters.
