This is the history of the largest textile producer of pre-revolutionary Russia owned by the Morozov dynasty. The author analyzes the economic and social activity of this family, social politics inside the business, labor relations, and evolution of management systems. Potkina considers this business as a typical Russian enterprise and shows that this manufacturer demonstrated the best in Russian managerial capitalism on the threshold of the 20th century. The last of this dynasty, Savva Morozov (1852-1905), a famous Russian businessman, was a patron of the Moscow Artistic Theater (MKhAT) and of Russian artists such as V. Serov and M.
