This monograph studies the medical and ecological consequences of several Russian radiation accidents: plant "Maiak" at the river Techa in 1957, Chernobyl, and the Siberian chemical plant in 1993. The authors who personally participated in the clean up of the consequences of these accidents describe the activities of the state organs, institutes and other organizations in the efforts to decrease negative influence of these accidents. They make suggestions about organizations of collective efforts to deal with radiation accidents in the future.
