The hero is a famous pianist who so going to participate in a performance in central Europe, but the hotel he is living is shabby. In the winding strange streets like a maze, he doesnt know where the road is to go, and his future also seems to be blocked by a thick layer of brick. This book has a kind of mysterious atmosphere similar with Kafka. The roar of the piano, we seem to have heard the last sad melody.
